Accessibility Statement

Toned is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including people who browse with screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, speech input, or reduced-motion settings. Health information should not be harder to reach because of how someone uses the web.

The standard we work toward

We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. That is the benchmark referenced by most accessibility regulation in the United States, including guidance under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

We describe this as a standard we work toward rather than one we certify. Accessibility is not a one-time audit — it is maintained as the site changes.

What we have built in

Measures currently in place across the site include:

• A skip-to-content link as the first focusable element on every page.
• Visible keyboard focus indicators on every link, button, and interactive control, including where the header sits over photography.
• Text alternatives for images that carry meaning, and empty alternatives for images that are purely decorative.
• Semantic structure — one main heading per page, ordered heading levels, and labelled landmark regions for headers, navigation, main content, and footers.
• Colour contrast checked against the WCAG contrast ratios: at least 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text and meaningful graphics.
• Respect for reduced-motion preferences — if your operating system requests reduced motion, animations and transitions are suppressed.
• No reliance on colour alone to convey information, and content that remains readable without JavaScript.

Known limitations

We would rather name the gaps than imply there are none.

• Our intake questionnaire and patient portal are operated by our technology partner on separate domains. We have asked them about their accessibility conformance, but we do not control that software and cannot state its conformance here.
• This site has not yet been audited by an independent third-party accessibility firm. Our testing to date is internal — automated checks plus manual keyboard and screen-reader review.
• Some longer legal documents are dense by nature. They are structurally navigable, but we know density is itself a barrier for some readers, and we are happy to provide the substance of any policy in another format on request.

Report a barrier

If you encounter something on this site you cannot access, please tell us. Include the page address and a short description of what went wrong, and what assistive technology, browser, and device you were using if you know them. We will work with you to get you the information or service you were trying to reach.

We treat accessibility reports as a priority and will respond as quickly as we can. If you need information from this site urgently and cannot access it, say so in your message and we will find another way to get it to you.
